Recording time in Smart Shop Floor

Written by Pieter Hamans on . Posted in Exact Online

Smart Shop Floor is the cloud app used by factory operators to retrieve job data from and record job progress in Exact Online Manufacturing. In Smart Shop Floor we can record time spent on a routing step by using a timer or manually. This blog posting explains the how.

Starting time

We can start time for setup and/or start time for run. Either way, the time will be recorded on the linked work center. A routing step that is started will be displayed without button but with a caption notifying the start of timing. By using the right tip of the start button we can navigate to Advanced setup or run. This will allow us to select an alternative work center:

From the advanced setup or advanced run screen, we can select an alternative work center:

Stopping time

Via the Stop tab we view all routing steps where time has started for this operator. We select a routing step and press the Stop setup or Stop Run button:

By pressing the stop button, a detail screen will be presented where the clocked time is displayed. The time may be edited:

We can also enter the completed quantity, percentage complete and set the operation to Finished. More information on this can be found in What is the quantity for in the time reporting?:

Editing recently stopped time

Via the Recent tab all routing steps stopped in the past 12 hours are displayed. They can be edited by the operator:

Manual time entry

In case we want to enter time manually (i.e. without using the timer), we view the routing steps via the Manual entry tab. The same conventions for sorting and filtering apply as on the Start tab:
