Would you like to view part of the document without having to open it? Do you have a list of documents and don’t know exactly which document you need? In both cases, it might be useful to use the reading pane.
The reading pane is an option in the document search screen that you can use to generate an example of a document without having to actually open this document. This could save you a lot of searching.
In order to activate the reading pane, please follow the steps below:
- Select ‘Search’ in the left menu and click Documents.
- If you are working with the Images menu, click the magnifying glass behind Documents.
- Please make sure the option reading pane is set to ‘Yes’. See the image below:
- If you’re about to do a search, the reading pane will be shown on the lower side of the screen. By clicking a document, the reading pane will open an example. Please make sure you do not click the subject or ID of the document, because this will open the document. To view the example, you could for instance click in the column Type.
