Important notice for customers who update to Exact Globe product update 411, Exact Synergy Enterprise product update 256 and Exact Lightweight Integration Server (ELIS)

This announcement applies to customers:
•updating to Exact Globe product update 411 from Exact Globe product update 409 or Exact Globe product update 410, and
•updating to Exact Synergy Enterprise product update 256 from Exact Synergy Enterprise product update 254 or Exact Synergy Enterprise product update 255, and
•using Exact Lightweight Integration Server (ELIS) as integration solution between Exact Globe and Exact Synergy Enterprise

In this product update of ELIS it has been made possible for partners of Exact to create their own solutions using ELIS. As a result of this the update procedure for ELIS is different this time. For future product updates the standard routine can be used again.

After updating Exact Globe to 411 and updating Exact Synergy Enterprise to 256, the update of ELIS has to be installed from the CAB folder of the Exact Synergy Enterprise installation. The installation routine of ELIS did not change, only the location where to install from is different for this product update only.

After ELIS has been updated, the solutions that run on ELIS (like Exact Integration) can be installed in the usual way. It is mandatory to also update the end points of Exact Globe and Exact Synergy Enterprise. Make sure that after the end points are updated, the product update version registered by the clients is updated by connecting to Exact Globe and Exact Synergy Enterprise from the client configuration screen and save the changes. Also make sure the configuration is updated to the latest version of the solution.

Due to the changes in ELIS in this product update, as of version 1.1.23.132 of ELIS it is only possible to connect to Exact Globe product update 411 and Exact Synergy Enterprise product update 256. It is not supported to connect to lower product updates of Exact Globe and Exact Synergy Enterprise with this version of ELIS.

The controlled release fase of product update 411 and 256 starts at the end of November 2015. The product updates are planned to be generally available in January 2016.

Exact Self Service app extended with Inbox and Employee functionality

The Exact Self Service App already gave you insight in your time off balance, salary slips, personal files and sick leaves. The App also enables you to quickly request for a day off or call in sick.

With the latest version of the Self Service App (1.3 iOS or 1.3 Android), you are also able to check your workflow and look for contact information of colleagues!

You can download the app via Google Play and iTunes.

Product updates 255 and 410 generally available

As of today Exact Synergy product update 255 and Exact Globe product update 410 are generally available. In the product updates several new functions and improvements have been made available such as a new interface for Exact Synergy and enhancements for the Exact Globe WMS solution.

Exact Synergy

The new Exact Synergy user interface is shown after performing the update. The complete user interface has undergone a transformation to a more innovative and visually attractive design. Read all about the changes in these blog posts.

In addition, there are also several improvements in the service management solution, such as the possibility to use selection codes and payment conditions, the availability of free fields, the possibility to determine the order of agreement lines and new lines in the contract and much more.

Please note that Microsoft Exchange 2003 is no longer supported as of product update 255.

Exact Globe

In Exact Globe there are several improvements in the WMS solution. It is now possible to use pre-collection via which the picking advice is generated based on totals instead of separate order lines, and you have the possibility to allocate stock on SKU level.

There is also a separate controlled release of a change regarding the splitting of order lines when allocating free stock. As of this product update actual splitting of sales order lines due to stock allocation of free stock is minimized. The order lines will be displayed as entered when creating the order regardless whether stock is allocated to these lines. This functionality can be made available on request in product update 410. New Android Field Service App for working offline in Controlled release

The Android Field Service App for working offline is now in Controlled release.

Next to the App for iOS, now also the Field Service Offline App for Android is available in Controlled Release. Exact is offering an App that doesn’t require an internet connection. This enables the service engineer to perform the tasks that are essential to do his job, even when he is on the road or on a location where no internet connection is available.

The App offers the following:
• View the planning
• Get information about the job, such as the address of the customer, the contact, the phone number, etc
• View information about the configuration and problem.
• Register what he has done and enter hours and materials used and sign off the job

To be able to use this App, you need Exact Synergy Enterprise product update 254 or higher, and Android 4.0 or higher. The Android App will work on both tablet and phone. If you want to start using this new App, send an e-mail to productreadiness@exact.com.

Support for push notifications in the CRM apps

After a successful pilot phase, the Exact Synergy CRM app now supports push notifications. Push notifications will pop-up on your mobile device once a new task is added to your workflow or when a task is due. Another great functionality of the CRM app to work smarter.

To be able to use the push notifications feature, you’ll need to update to the latest version of Exact Synergy Enterprise, 254.
