Shop Order Card Refreshed

Written by Pieter Hamans on . Posted in Exact Online

The Shop Order Card in Exact Online Manufacturing is the central point where demand for a product meets the material requirements, time records and manufacturing financial entries. A lot of data is shown in the header of the shop order card and in order to match user experience with increased requirements from Manufacturing Advanced, we have redesigned the card. We simplified the header and moved less frequented data elements to a new section (tab) called General. Though we reduced the space for the item picture, it is possible to enlarge the picture by clicking on it.

General tab

In the General tab we have also added fields that are required in Manufacturing Advanced. These fields are not visible to users of Manufacturing Basic.

New icons and Shop order structure tab

In order to support the suborders that are part of the multi-level Bill-of-materials (BOM) functionality, all icons have been redesigned and new icons have been introduced for the receipt of suborders. A new tab called Shop order structure displays the hierarchy of suborders. The new icons and the shop order structure tab is only available to selected controlled release customers. Upon general availability, planned for the fourth quarter of 2014, all Manufacturing Advanced customers will get access to the multi-level BOM features.

The new shop order card has been released for all users of manufacturing basic and advanced in July 2014.
