Delivery advice: Always deliver what you promised!

Written by Jaap Jan de Lange on . Posted in Exact Online

As a Wholesale Distributor you do everything to keep your customers happy. Apart from knowing their needs, regular contact moments and providing suggestions to improve their business, you want to make sure to deliver as promised at all times.

At the same time investing in stock is expensive, predicting stock levels in the future is hard to do and your suppliers might not always deliver in time. It is business critical to know when a Sales order cannot be delivered in time or in full! This so you can act before your customer is facing a late receipt.

Written by Jaap Jan de Lange on . Posted in Exact Online

In scenarios where lowering the sales price of a product or some products in a Quotation or Sales order is needed to make the sale, it is important to have direct insight in the margin you are expected to make. In a competitive environment one cannot always stick to the list price, still it remains important to retain healthy margins and when not, then let it be a conscious decision to give some on the short term in order to gain or retain a long term relationship with your customer.
