Enter sales orders on your iPad in Exact Online!

Catch the opportunity at the moment it happens. That is basically the key value add of having a possibility for you as a sales representative to directly “write” the order at the customer site after the confirmation that the products presented via the item catalog are matching your customer needs.

In the Exact Online iPad app, which is already standard available for Exact Online users and covers a wide range of capabilities, it will soon become possible to create a sales order, directly send a confirmation via e-mail and view sales orders and their status in a very intuitive manner.   Business benefits:

  • Improve customer service level by being able to act and confirm the order on the spot.

 

  • Reduce risk of miscommunication with your customer, which potentially might lead to additional
    contacts or delay in shipping or payments of outstandings.

 

  • Save time and avoid errors in the order intake process by verbal or delayed communication of the requested products to colleagues for further processing

New Field Service App available for iPad

As of today, a new Field Service App is available in the Apple App Store (Requires Exact Globe Next 407, Exact Synergy Enterprise 252 and Service Management module).

The following new features have been added:

  • The look and feel of the Field Service App have been updated and is in line with the new Exact CRM App;
  • Search screen for adding materials remains active until you have finished the entry. The advantage is that all material can quickly be entered without reopening the screen every time;
  • When adding materials you can also search by item code. For frequently used items, the service engineer often knows the item number by heart. Like searching by description, the percentage sign (%) can be used as so-called wildcard. If it is known that an article starts with ‘123’ and slightly later ‘CMD’ you can search at ‘123%CMD’ and as an example article ‘123-4-KOPCMP’ is found;
  • Selecting items from different warehouses is supported. When setting up Service Management, you can define the service engineer’s default warehouse and other warehouses he is allowed to use. For instance the service-van of the engineer. The default warehouse of the service engineer can be defined in the setup of Service Management as well as other warehouses that person has access to. Based on this setup, the service engineer can select the used items;
  • Like in the previous Field Service App it is possible to register hours. The hour type can be selected and service engineer can also indicate which hours are within warranty;

  • Displaying the request number on the iPad. When a service engineer consults a colleague in the office, it is very useful when the request number is known to quickly access the related information in Synergy Enterprise.

The Exact Field Service App version 1.0 is supported from Exact Globe Next 407 in combination with Exact Synergy Enterprise 252 (update on or after February 7h ,2014). The Service Management module is required. The Controlled Release version of the Field Service App (version 0.93) does not work with these system requirements. Please make sure you remove the previous version and install the latest version 1.0 of the Field Service App via the Apple App Store.

 

Exact Synergy mobile apps: What do you like to see in our new App?

The Exact Synergy apps are available since 2011. There is an App for iOS (iPhone, iPad), Android and Windows Phone. Since the introduction a lot of improvements are made to the apps; some visible, a lot not visible.

This year we will continue to improve our Mobile App offering to better serve the persons using the Apps.

Exact Synergy App for iPhone 2.0 in the App Store now!

Version 2.0 of the iPhone app is out. Download it from the App Store NOW!

In this major update of the Synergy app, we focused on making the app easier to use. You will directly see this after installing the app. Note that the new features are only visible working with Synergy product update 249 or above.

A lot of improvements are based on direct customer feedback. So, please let us know what you think about the app and leave a reply on this post or rate the app in the Appstore.

New in this version:

  • Full redesign to make the app more intuitive
  • Performance improvements
  • The request card is simplified and gives the user all information needed to fulfill his process

 

Exact Field Service App version 1.1 available in the Appstore

Today a new version of the Exact Field Service App become available in the Appstore. This new version comes with native iOS 7 support, which you will recognize easily. All controls in the App, like datepickers, and other pop-ups will now have the iOS7 look and feel.

This version contains small bug fixes and support for iOS 7.1.

The Field Service App is available for iPad with iOS 6 and above.

Exact Synergy App #1 Business App

This weekend the Dutch financial newspaper ‘Het Financieele Dagblad’ ranked the Exact Synergy App as #1 Business App. A great achievement and big thanks to you for the trust in our product.

Service Management: Time to assist the service engineer on the road!

 Exact is currently developing a new Service Management solution. More and more customers are working daily with the new service management solution and we are nearing the end of controlled release phase for integrated scenario.

We are about to launch the controlled release phase of the iPad tablet application for service engineers.

Our research showed that most of you want to provide the field service engineer with a tablet device so they can do their job easier, faster and be more efficient. Tablets are an excellent choice for this goal, they are affordable, easy and fun to use triggering engineers to do the realization and administration on time and correctly.

The iPad tablet application has all information your service engineer needs:

  • Addresses and contacts information
  • The ability to navigate to the service address
  • The machine, the machine’s history and technical manuals
  • Problem & solutions for the machine involved
  • Remarks on the service job from planner and service desk.
  • Planned hours and materials which can be predefined by the planner and adjusted by the service engineer.
  • Have their work signed off by the customer and directly email the service slip.

Although we are still finalizing the development and improving the apps design and look and feel here are already some screenshots to get a quick idea. 

Working with us to improve the app even further is highly appreciated. As controlled release customer of the service management solution you can immediately apply for the controlled release program of the tablet application with your Exact representative.

Exact Synergy App for iPhone 1.1 available now!

Version 1.1 of the iPhone app is out. Download it from the App Store NOW! For our Exact Product Blog readers we’ll describe below how to activate the sneak preview of the dashboard functionality on your iPhone or iPad. You can find more details below.

Version 1.1 is a result of big improvements, which at first sight are not always visible. After the update, your app will still look the same.

Some nice improvements which are done based on direct customer feedback are:

  • Add your time stamp in your workflow remarks.
  • The handling of time off has been improved, to make it clear for you that your time off has been submitted and is waiting for approval.
  • For first time users, we simplified the login procedure.
  • The iPad can be used in landscape mode, which is a must for users with integrated keyboards.
  • 100+ other small enhancements, like the way you set the security level and priority in a request

One big new feature is the availability of dashboards to be shown on your iPhone/iPad. Under a new menu, option ‘Reports’ you can view all your SQL reports on you mobile IOS device. We still have several ideas how to make this feature even more powerful and are open for feedback by our users. Therefore we’ll make this functionality only available under a special sneak preview option for now.

How to get started with dashboards on your IOS app:

  1. All the SQL Reports shown on your Exact Synergy Enterprise homepage are available on your IOS app as well. So before you start, make sure you have the reports available on your Exact Synergy Enterprise homepage.
  2. It’s a sneak preview and you need to link the role ‘Sneak preview iPhone’ to your person card to get the dashboards available on your IOS app.
  3. Your Exact Synergy installation must be up to date (update in October2011 or later) or the mobile server files are installed manually (read more about this here)
  4. You are ready for the Action! Good luck and happy apping!
