Progress development of the new Synergy design

We are constantly working on improving the new user interface. In product update 247 – which will be generally available in the fourth quarter of this year – we are focusing on the following things:
• Supporting all available roles with the standard functionality of Synergy;
• Work processes Synergy User and Employee Self Service roles fully aligned with the new interface;
• Cockpits;
• Reporting Services Widget;
• New Mega menu structure.

Just give me my money!

In my previous blog I gave a short introduction on the simplicity of the payroll process. I also looked at the simplicities themselves – the processes that are involved in completing a payroll calculation. I also pointed out that most people do not read their payroll specification and only check their bank statement. As an employee, you just want your money. That’s a pity because the document is the key to checking you were paid the right amount – to seeing that no mistakes were made with your expenses or travel allowance.

The house has been built, let’s furnish it

In June this year, after 18 months in development, a new member of the Exact Online family arrived via a commercial launch: Exact Online Payroll.
In many ways building a new product is a lot like building a house. At a certain point the house is ready. You can live in it, take a shower and cook a meal. It protects you against the rain and the cold. It does what it should do, but as everybody knows, there’s a big difference between a house and a home.

Keep it simple Payroll

Many people in the Netherlands experience payroll as difficult to understand. Most only check their salary via their bank statement, paying little attention to their payroll specification explaining the calculations. It’s certainly a complicated document, any problems with it usually referred to the company ‘wizard’ – an expert payroll administrator or professional accountant.
