We never stop looking for new ways to make Exact Online support your business better, faster and smarter. And with the introduction of machine learning, we are now heading towards true no hands accounting. No hands accounting will save you a significant amount of time and, ultimately, help you implement a uniformly consistent approach to your bookkeeping.
We recently launched an adjusted ‘bank statements to be completed’ screen with automatic suggestions for G/L accounts. Initially released in Early Access, we’ve now made the innovation generally available on the back of some very positive feedback.
Automatic suggestions for G/L accounts
So how does it work? Well until now, when you import bank statements you need to manually match lines relating to cost G/L accounts to the correct G/L account. With no hands accounting, however, you can forget about spending hour after hour searching for the right G/L account for each and every line. Machine learning will automatically suggest the most likely G/L account based on previous entries. All you have to do is confirm it. And a new color-coded column status also makes it fast and easy to identify the status of each bank statement line.
This is just the first step on the road to full automation as we continue to work on more developments in no hands accounting. Later on down the line, for example, Exact Online can automatically fill in the correct G/L account if you want to.
