Drag and drop your documents in Exact Online

Exact Online provides you the crucial benefit to store all your transactional data together with related files in one central place. Linking additional information in MS Excel to sales invoices or received terms & conditions in PDF to purchase invoices. There are lots of examples. What about adding pictures to item cards or saving a Request for Proposal to an account or project card. You’ll always have more in-depth information right at hand.

Easy drag & drop
Files could already be saved in Exact Online in lots of place via the traditional file upload, but saving files in Exact Online has recently become much easier! It’s now possible to drag & drop a file on any page in Exact Online. documents can always be retrieved via the general Document overview (by clicking the Document icon right above in your Exact Online screen).

Linked to entities
Besides that, documents that have been dropped on the the following entities will automatically be saved and linked to these entities:

• Account card
• Contact card
• Opportunity card
• Campaign card
• Employee card
• Item card
• Project card
• Shop order
• Sales invoice
• Purchase invoice
• Quotation
• Purchase order
• Sales order

More entities will be supported in due time.

Note: The drag and drop functionality is only available for the following browsers: Chrome, Firefox, IE 10 or higher, Safari 6 or higher. For all other browsers the current document upload functionality is still available.

New Document overview
Good to mention! Also above-mentioned Document overview had a nice makeover recently. For example you can now easily preview the attachments by clicking on the ‘eye’ icon:
