We hope WMS Client will be edited too or custumizable.
Instead of LOC -> ARTCODE to ARTCODE -> LOC.

    In overall it’s working great!

    Dear Roelof,

thank you for your reply, and thanks for mentioning E-WMS in this first post response ! :) .

I am part of the E-WMS development team, as product owner and quality engineer .

The scan flow in WMSclient has not been changed this way in 407.

For what logistics process (WMSclient menu) would you like to have this scan order changed – and can you tell me why that changed scan order would be more efficient for your process ?

E-WMS 407 release notes are available on the Exact customer portal, for example here:

    Hello Wilfed,

    Thank you for u response.

I came across another issue which i cant solve.
The one i mentioned above isnt an issue but would be a great help to us.
Another issue is that i miss the Expiration Date in the scanner’s Stocklist.
Because we are working according to FIFO, we now have to lookup the oldest pallet on our PC outside the warehouse.
Adding this date to the stocklost would be an amazing help. It will save a lot of time.

    Dear Roelof,

You are aware that E-WMS can generate S/B picking advices to direct you to the best batch (expiration date) to pick?

Otherwise, please enter a Solution Feedback request for this, in the Exact customer portal, or let your Exact dealer do that.

That would be the best way to gather more details on this, and help prioritizing this feature against other customer suggestions.

Please create a separate request for both wishes, and please state in what kind of process this would have to be changed (orderpicking, transfers, etc); and also, very important: why? Please describe the practical scenario at that time, why this is a problem, so we can come up with the best possible solution.

    Thanks !

    Regards,
    Wilfred

    Dear Wilfred,

I already contacted our support for this matter.
I am aware of the feature you mentioned but the reservation makes it hard to work with.

Before i make the requests, i wait for response of my current request from our support.
If they can’t solve this case, i will contact you.

Thank you for your replies so far.
IF you have any suggestions on this, would you please be so kind to send them to RVogelzang@Lavenezia.nl?

    With kind regards,
    Roelof Vogelzang.

Dear Roelof, thanks for your reply. This sounds also like you could need a review of your E-WMS process, usage and settings, by a consultant ….

    Dear Wifred,

    Hope all is well and that you can help with the following;

I was wondering, when we receive our orders we are forced to print our labels direct to the printer using Exact.

I have been reading a bit on “Pick It” in WMS, and have seen that you have created a way to print directly to Bartender instead of using the very static label design module in Exact.

Can we send the information that is released when receiving orders in buying and pick it up with Bartender later like I used to do in Exact DOS, maybe in the new Exact Globe I am able to “park” this information if not use a Bartender Label Intergration.

Thank you for your ideas on the matter,

    Adam

    Hi Adam,

thanks for putting this question here !

As you may know, BarTender is not an Exact product but is created by Seagull Scientific. We have integrated BarTender in Exact E-WMS, so labels can be printed automatically related (predefined and linked) to E-WMS process steps or to user actions on an E-WMS hand terminal.

It is well possible to link receipts information (either from purchase receipts or production receipts) to E-WMS process steps, but you can also use BarTender stand-alone, not integrated with E-WMS. In that case you just have to start the label manually when required and put in some details, like which order or receipt is to be printed.

Any label you need, has to be designed to your needs, so some tech knowledge is required (database knowledge, in case of Exact Globe Next: SQL query knowledge, BarTender knowledge, barcoding knowledge). The intelligence of a label ‘knowing’ what data to print. is for most part in the SQL queries (SQL views).

When integrated with E-WMS, no user input (like ‘enter order nr’) is required for a label to be printed.

This all relates to Exact Globe (not so ‘new’ anymore, by the way :) ) and not to Exact Dos.

Hope this info was of some use? Let me know if you have additional questions.

    Hello,

We still haven’t solve our problem with FIFO.
Picking advice works geat if only one order is active or multiple orders are picked in a certain order (FIFO).
But due to a variety of different customers and different agreements and condititions this won’t work.

A colomn with an expiration date next to the location would solve our problem.

    Is this possible?
