Exact Event Manager release 1.9 Now available

Written by Toine Hurkmans on . Posted in Exact Event Manager

Exact Event Manager release 1.9 is now available and can be downloaded by customers and partners. As mentioned in the previous blog release 1.9 supports the latest Microsoft operating systems.  Meaning this release will support Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and Microsoft SQL Server 2012. Further this release will support Microsoft Windows 8.

This release contains no functional enhancements, like support of new types of actions.

.. However we are working on release 1.9.1 and at least one new feature will be added to Exact Event Manager: running a program as an action. Keep following this blog, because next post will show a sneak preview of this feature. I cannot tell at this moment what the release date will be of the next release, but I’ll try to keep you informed the best I can.

Ability to pass navigator parameters to trigger an event. Would be a nice 1.9.1 addition as well as some printing options.

Could we add the ability to Make comments per query so that we can note what an event is doing or that if we make changes we have to update this or that. So that years later when you are making changes to an event you have a clue of what its doing and why.

Can you look into the issue that causes us to have to resave schedules every time we reboot the server? I was told this was a ‘bug’ and was being worked on. Currently when we reboot the server that houses Exact Event Manager, we have to go into every event and re-save the schedules, or they don’t run. Will this newest version fix this?

Its also possible though Toine that Customers go through Support and go through the channels provided but do not get action they feel is due, eg… Why do people pay support to not have there issues handled in an Adequate and Reasonable amount of time. So then they discuss them in forums that are used to collect Customer Opinion and feedback. I think Nicole’s Point is that this is not an acceptable behavior and she would like to know if it was addressed in the 1.9.1 version. Possibly you pass her name on to support and have them call her with information regarding this since she has already taken much of her time dealing with this frustrating issue.
