Lately I have been receiving questions about the supported versions in combination with Exact Integration. From that perspective I thought it would be good to address that we have documentation on this available to all customers.
The support matrix of Exact Integration is available not only through searching the web, it is also added to your start menu when you install Exact Integration.
The Help link guides you to the support matrix so you can check the supported versions from your computer.
When you are configuring Exact Integration, there is also a link to the support matrix in the configuration screen. In the Help, About Exact Integration menu, you will also be guided to the support matrix.
So, how to continue when you perform an update?
As of release 247 the services are no longer installed through Exact Integration. This means that when you update from 246 to 247 you will need to uninstall Exact Integration first, then perform update of your Exact Synergy Enterprise environment and re-install Exact Integration.
The reason for this is that the msi of Exact Integration for versions lower than 247 will uninstall your services. If you have updated your Exact Synergy Enterprise before uninstalling your Exact Integration, those services will be uninstalled from your environment and the msi for Exact Integration compatible with release 247 will NOT re-install those services.
Therefore the correct order of updating is:
1. Un-install Exact Integration. (This will un-install your services)
2. Update Exact Synergy Enterprise. (This will install those services)
3. Install the 247 version of Exact Integration. (It assumes that the services are already installed through Exact Synergy Enterprise)
