Make your quotation even more clear and legible

The quotation you send to your prospect is created based on a template. This template is a Synergy document linked to the quotation card in Synergy. As of this product update the template can be stored as a word document, which means that all MS Word functions are available to design your quotation. Together with the quotation merge fields Synergy Office Integration offers in MS Word, you got all tools in hand to make a great quotation your prospect can’t resist.

    Hi Martin

We are trying to use this feature but have found that it is not possible to modify the sales price of an item when added to a quotation? or are we missing a setting?

We sell goods that vary in price depending on the volumes and client so using priceagreements or discounts is not favourable, in Globe we can adjust a sales price in a quote.

    Please advise.

    Kind regards

    Joe

    Hi Joe,

As of product update 247 you can define to get the sales price from your Globe backoffice. This price takes the correct prices for the selected account, taking into consideration the pricelists and -agreements for this customer. There is a setting to activate this functionality in Customers–> Setup–> Settings.

    Hi Martin

    Thankyou for your response

If I read this correctly the ability to modify the prices when creating a quotation in Synergy Ent is not possible because the system will either take a price from Globe or use the values set against the item is Synergy?

If my understanding is correct this is a big limitation to the software. If it is possibleto modify quotations prices in Exact Globe why is the same logic not applied to Synergy?

I understand the use of PriceLists and Price Agreements but as I have already mentioned the use of such rigid pricing is not what you’s expect when creating quotations.

    Regards

    Joe

Joe, you are right that the item prices cannot be updated from the quotation in Synergy. The quotation in Synergy offers only a small part of functionality compared to the Exact Globe quotation for the reason that we build this for another kind of user. A user that is often on the road and want to be able to easily create a nice quotation.

We will soon start a project around quotations to further enhance the functionality based on our customer feedback. I will add this point to all the other feedbacks we recieved.

    Hi Martin

I do hope that the roadmap could include this, hasn’t this been raised before by other Synergy users?

More often a user that is on the road would need the flexibility to create a meaningful and accurate quotation rather than being restrictive with regards pricing…

Hi Joe, request that I often get is to have more flexibility in changing discount in the item lines of the quotation. This way the user can make a meaningfull and accurate quotation as you state.

The request to change the actual item price based on the amount entered in the quotation is not requested much. Ofcourse this functionality and much more is already available in Exact Globe.
